Habitus House of the Year

As a region, we produce work that continues to highlight what makes this corner of the world so unique, constantly responding in new ways to the conditions that surround us.

The Habitus 50th Anniversary Special March – June 2021 Having reached such a significant milestone in the magazine’s history, we explore the notion of legacy. By their very nature, architecture and design are slow mediums. And they need to be. Buildings, much like the furniture and objects within the pages of the issue, are not made to be used once and thrown away. In this sense, design should always be imbued with legacy, longevity and sustainability.
The Kitchen & Bathroom Special June 2021 – October 2021 Kitchen and bathroom spaces have long been heralded as two of the most important in a home; they offer respite and nourishment, connection and entertainment. But how are they changing? How can they be designed to cultivate a way of living that responds to our time and place? Habitus #51 is about cultivating a life of connection, with design as the catalyst.
The Habitus House of the Year October 2021 – February 2022 What does it mean to live in design? Habitus has been celebrating the lives of Design Hunters for more than a decade. The Habitus House of the Year initiative puts focus on living in design by curating a selection of 25 of the best homes from across the Indo-Pacific region, calling out our unique way of life and how it informs the way we live.
