A home to allow for a growing family is what was asked of designers TomMarkHenry, and a classical terrace focussing on space is the result.

The owners of the Paddington residence were looking for a terrace that would allow them to maximise on space for a family that grow over the years. TomMarkHenry has designed a home that allows for this growth, while still maintaining a sophisticated sense of style.

The terrace’s palette is highly details and distinctly classic in style, built using traditional materials and constructed with a precise attention to detail.

After stripping the terrace back to its shell, a new floor plan was implemented that sees an open kitchen, living and dining space flowing into a sun filled courtyard that truly utilises the space of the building.

The unique architecture charm already present in the terrace was not sacrificed in the design though, with the 4.5m high ceiling contributing to the sense of space the residents’ required.

The resulting terrace is one built on brightness and light, balanced with strong contrasting features, and modern furniture and fittings that create a liveable and dynamic home for a growing family.
