GamFratesi took inspiration from the shapes of branches and leaves to create the smoothly curved Edaha chair for Japanese brand Koyori. The Edaha chair is made entirely from veneer wood, and GamFratesi aimed for it to both look industrialised and yet express the beauty of nature.
“We wanted to create a structure that gently supported the suspended seat just like a leaf on a branch,” said GamFratesi. “The project was an industrial challenge, a concept that would challenge materials and technologies.”
The Edaha chair is available in natural oak or natural walnut timbers, and the seat can be optionally upholstered.
