With the Australian design industry going from strength to strength, there is a vast opportunity to nurture the next generation of design talent that is set to take the world stage.

RMIT has formed a unique partnership with Design To Print, a custom wallpaper studio, offering RMIT’s BA Textile Design students the opportunity to design unique wallpapers that are now available for purchase.

Offered as part of a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) studio project, RMIT students currently studying BA Textile Design can apply for the program, which provides the opportunity to work on a live industry brief with a client.

In 2015 there were nine students who participated in the program, and each worked over a five-week period with weekly meetings and reviews to develop the final artwork. As part of the WIL studio project, the students were given a contract to license their design work for a period of time, with a commission paid for every sale of their work on the site.

Each design is currently available for purchase.
