Didier Design Studio infuses contemporary spirit with romantic elegance in a new, café inspired seating and table collection entitled ‘Etiquette.’

“I named this collection Etiquette because there is a natural charm to good manners,” says designer Ross Didier of Didier Design Studio. “It’s a social art form, striving to ensure a person in our company enjoys feeling at ease.”

Inspired by the legacy of classic bistro dining from around the world, Didier has refined the collection with subtlety and sculptural form. The exquisite proportions of each piece speak to the collection’s attention to detail, offering supreme comfort skilfully crafted in solid timber.

“I started thinking about creating a particular dining chair and bar stool several years ago, impelled by the emotions evoked with every coffee, every glass of wine, every cigarette, and every life changing conversation shared with a friend in a café,” says Didier. “I wanted to embody a contemporary spirit with romantic elegance in the final forms.”

The collection features the Etiquette table, chair, bar stool and bar table. Made in select grade Ash and offered in natural clear or black stain. Both the chair and bar stool have been masterly shaped in all aspects, with the seat and backrest offering an extraordinary comfort, and a subtle, twisting taper to the back legs giving this collection a sophisticated and sensual character.

Providing compliment to this aesthetic, the tables and bar tables feature a unique splayed and tapering four-legged pedestal. An understated yet eclectic design, articulating the legacy of art nouveau dining with pared-back form.
