The 304 collection of lighting and planters is a classic example of Bentu’s simple, yet innovative design talents.

Steeped in minimalist Japanese design aesthetics, the 304 series of concrete lamps and planters utilises recycled building materials to craft the unique and architecturally inspired shape. The pendant lamp inspired the designers to create a planter using matching geometric shapes of the collection.

The collection was labelled 304 based upon the corners that each geometric shape has: three, zero and four. This clever and playful naming flows through to the three planters from the collection, as their geometric shape simply mirrors the three pendants from above.

Bentu is an experimental design and architecture studio based in Shanghai. Launching at Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan 2013, the Bentu range of architectural and contemporary lighting, furniture and accessories are crafted from recycled building materials to create modern and distinctive pieces. Each product demonstrates the potential of construction waste recycling and up-cycling.
