Useful when on, beautiful when off; the Samsung Serif TV has been designed by two of the world’s most esteemed industrial designers, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, to create a focal point in the décor of a home.

With its distinctively sleek side profile, evocative of an ‘I’, the Samsung Serif assimilates seamlessly with its surrounds. Better yet, the device comes complete with a metal stand, making the TV more moveable within a space than ever before.

When switched off, the Samsung Serif shifts into Ambient Mode, transforming into a work of art, as opposed to the traditional black hole. With Serif TV’s latest Ambient Mode features, customers can analyse the colour and pattern of its surroundings to display complementary imagery and themes. Ambient Mode on the Serif offers two exclusive designs by the Bouroullec Brothers’, available in five different colours.

Hass Mahdi, director of audio-visual products for Samsung Electronics Australia describes the Samsung Serif as “a completely new way for Australians to think about how televisions can play a role in the décor of the home.” Combining the Bouroullec Brothers’ brilliance in industrial design with the latest and greatest Samsung QLED panel technology, “the Serif extends Samsung’s evolving lifestyle TV range and builds upon the success of The Frame”.

Specs-wise, the Samsung Serif does not disappoint. Boasting smarts as well as QLED picture quality, the Serif is fitted with all the user benefits synonymous with Samsung’s Smart TV Hub. Offering Bixby, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Apple Airplay 2 functionality, the Serif enables its users to control their Smart Home devices directly from its screen, acting as a control centre to manage smart appliances and security functions in the home.
