Sarjaton is a modern interpretation of Finnish tradition. You can see it in the natural shapes and tones of the collection, inspired by old Finnish textures and textiles. Drawing from handicraft traditions, like the art of embroidery or braiding a basket, the designs of the patterns portray the soul of Finnish roots and culture. 

Like the name suggests, Sarjaton is not a complete dinner set, rather it breaks away from the traditional and offers a modern collection of most used everyday dishes. A classic range designed by Oiva Toikka in 1964, the Kastehelmi range is named after the word for ‘dewdrop’ in Finnish, in reference to the circles of bubbles in the pressed glass of the pieces.
