For more than 20 years now Cult has been steadfast in its determination and dedication to provide great design from local and international product designers to the Design Hunters and enthusiasts of Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. In recent years, keen followers of the brand would have discerned an increased focus on the support of local design. NAU the brand, and its growth year on year, comes to mind.
In much more recent news, however, Cult has announced that New Volumes from Artedomus will now be available in Cult showrooms throughout Australia. The two companies, leaders in their respective fields, have long been friends. In fact, Cult’s showroom in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, has hosted Artedomus up until very recently. (The roommates are soon to become neighbours)
At the helm of creative director Thomas Coward, New Volumes is a collection of furniture and accessories for the home and office. Collection 01 consists entirely of one single material, Elba, and explores the strength and history of the rich and complex stone.
Bringing Elba to life, the machine-cut, hand-finished designs come as a result of collaboration with a series of known and celebrated Australian designers – Dale Hardiman, Emma Elizabeth, Marsha Golemac, Nick Rennie, Ross Gardam, Sarah King, Tom Skeehan, and as previously mentioned from Artedomus Thomas Coward.
“New Volumes is a brand that fosters Australian creativity, working with local designers to create beautiful, quality products. This endorses the values of our own brand, NAU. The collection perfectly complements our offering of Australian design,” says Richard Munao, founder of Cult.
